New and increased 40% production incentive for filming in Estonia!
Film Estonia cash rebate has been operating since 2016 and has accepted and financed 120 foreign productions to date. An application can be made for international production service or co-production to receive a cash rebate up to 40% on eligible production costs. The budget for 2026 is 10 MEUR.
With the new and increased 40% cash rebate incentive in place, 2026 is already gearing up to be one of our busiest years do date with 20 differents productions getting ready to get their cameras rolling or using our post-production and animation facilites.
Financially, our production incentive Film Estonia is one of the most transparent and fastest rebates available. The rebate is accessed and transferred in maximum of 40 days after wrapping up shooting.
Estonia is small and techy and therefore things move quicker here. We are obsessed with technology and e-everything. Most things can be sorted online and red tape is minimal. We take pride in being very straightforward and transparent in everything we do. In a stress filled unpredictable industry this is certainly a big bonus to have.
