European production heavyweight Banijay and RedBird IMI, (All3Media), are reportedly in advanced discussions over a potential merger of their audiovisual activities, according to Variety.

If completed, the deal would create one of the largest production groups in the world, with estimated revenues of more than $6.6 billion.
